Let’s Take This Outside: High Point’s Best Patio Spots

October 15, 2020

As we all strive to practice social distancing, one thing we can’t get enough of is a beautiful outdoor space. All summer we’ve enjoyed socially distant hang outs by the pool, at the lake, or in our backyards. Patios have become our best friends! Even as the crisper fall weather begins, there’s still several weeks of beautiful patio weather to enjoy.

For our Market guests, we hope you’ll take time to hit some of High Point’s beautiful outdoor spaces after hours – or maybe even for an offsite lunch. We’ve got you covered when it comes to our city’s prime patio spots. Check out our list and find the place for you and your Market travel partners to soak in some of High Point’s fun at a safe distance.

Brown Truck Brewery isn’t a hidden gem in High Point anymore… It’s just a gem! With their spacious patio, outdoor games, live music, and more, Brown Truck is a great place to enjoy the High Point uptowne community.

The HPD Recommendation:

  • For the High Point favorite: BTB’s award-winning No. 10.
  • For the lighter fair: Strawberry-Rosemary Hard Seltzer. Refreshing, bubbly, and delicious!

Sweet Old Bill’s

If you’re a fan of Brown Truck, chances are you’re a fan of their neighbor, Sweet Old Bill’s. Before you hit the brews, grab a bite outside. Southern comfort food just got even better.

The HPD Recommendation:

  • For the burger lover: The Double Southerner Burger. A classic Carolina burger with a High Point spin.
  • For the vegetarian: The Ever Fresh Salad. Fresh fruit and fried goat cheese… Need we say more?

Pitchin’ Kitchen

Ready to dine at High Point’s baseball diamond? Our Pitchin’ Kitchen at Truist Point has a beautiful patio space overlooking the baseball field and delicious food that’s a homerun. Grab lunch at the park Tuesday through Friday, or join them for dinner on Tuesday evenings for Taco Tuesday.

The HPD Recommendations:

  • For the healthier option: Chicken Caesar Salad. Grilled to perfection and served with fresh parmesan.
  • For the fun lover: Chicken and Waffles. Sweet and savory that we just can’t get enough of.

83 Custom Coffee

The HPD Recommendation:

  • For the coffee purist: Iced Americano. Simple, delicious, and brewed to perfection.
  • For the adventurous: Orange Cardamom Latte. Fall in a cup with a little bit of an orange twist!

Tipsy’z Tavern and Grill

The HPD Recommendations:

  • For the cheese lover: The Gouda Burger. Too “gouda” not to try.
  • For the Tex-Mex enthusiast: The Jacked Up Chicken Quesadilla. This quesadilla just got a little more exciting.

Sammy G’s Tavern

Want to explore North High Point a little more, and get a meal that will have you singing High Point’s praises? Try Sammy G’s. Their patio outside gives you plenty of space to try their mouthwatering cuisine.

The HPD Recommendations:

  • For the Southerner at heart: Tavern Chicken. Buttermilk fried chicken but make it classy.
  • For the spice lover: Tinsley Tuna. Thai chili and ginger-braised spinach make this tuna all the better.

Magnolia Blue

Ready to see High Point from above? Grab a seat at Magnolia Blue’s gorgeous rooftop patio. You’ll enjoy the city in style from the sky.

The HPD Recommendations:

  • For the cajun lover: Shrimp Creole. Served with the “holy cajun trinity” of onions, bell peppers & celery, this shrimp is a gamechanger.
  • For the taco lover: Mahi Tacos. Fish tacos with some zest.

Lulu and Blu

Outdoor patio with wooden patio and awning. People sitting outside at tables eating by a glass window.

Lulu and Blu’s patio never disappoints! With their dinner-only hours, this is the perfect place to spend a classy night out after Market in High Point.

The HPD Recommendations:

  • From North Carolina Farms: Chicken Marsala. Local North Carolina farm chicken served in Marsala wine that doesn’t disappoint.
  • For a Vegan Option: The Herbivore Flatbread. Served with vegan pesto and vegan mozzarella that will surprise you.

So grab a sweater and make the most of your night out (and outside!) in High Point!
