Utilizing local farms and bakers, Fixins’ mission is to provide great, sustainable, and locally-sourced foods with modern craft influences. Fixins’ is known for their innovative menu that never ceases to impress! Our personal favorites? You can never go wrong with the catfish tacos or the Reuben. They provide dinner on weeknights, with the bar opening at 4:30, and they now offer brunch on the weekends. Yes, please!

If you’re looking for something fresh and fancy… We recommend Blue Water Grille! The cuisine at Blue Water Grille consists of both fresh meat and fish plus plenty of delicious seasonal fruits and vegetables. They are also a famous in High Point for their delicious cocktails. Their American interpretation of French and Asian techniques will leave you craving more!

If you’re looking for something from around the world… We recommend 98 Asian Bistro! This upscale Asian fusion eatery always ranks high among locals as a go-to spot in High Point. With incredible Thai cuisine (and other Asian-inspired dishes) this eatery is always a good idea for lunch, dinner, or a special occasion. And for that group that may want to treat themselves to a nice dinner after a long day at market, 98 Asian Bistro has ample seating for large parties! Just give them a shout beforehand to make sure you don’t have to wait.

Adams Inn

If you’re looking for something historic… We recommend the Adams Inn! One of the most iconic buildings in uptown High Point is the Adams Inn. Constructed in 1918, the inn was originally the private home of John Hampton Adams. Characterized by the grand staircase, richly-carved moldings, marble fireplaces and beautiful wood floors, this beautiful inn is sure to give you inspiration and comfort! And each of the 31 rooms offered in the inn is furnished with a unique furniture collection from around the world! What better way to sleep in the true style of the Furniture Capital? (Local insider tip: While staying here, you should definitely check out Christina Gray’s, the delicious restaurant located on the first floor of the inn!)

If you’re looking for something convenient… We recommend a High Point Airbnb! By now, you’re probably familiar with Airbnb. With so many amazing homes in High Point and awesome locals who are willing to rent out their homes for market, Airbnb is a great way for you to see the Furniture Capital in an entirely new way. If you have a large group coming to the market, even better! Instead of paying for hotel rooms, you can rent an entire house or apartment from a local resident. Just remember to water the plants!

If you’re looking to soak up some sun… We recommend Oak Hollow Lake! Maybe those long days at the market have you itching to get some Vitamin D and spend some time unplugged. Spend some time at the park or on the marina eating your lunch outside or refreshing with a moment of peace and quiet. The lake also has plenty of fun outdoor activities to offer, including kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, and fishing. You can even get bait and tackle there if you decide spur of the moment you want to take a fishing afternoon.
