Best Ways to Stretch Your Budget at HP Market

 

Your transportation getting to High Point along with your accommodations for Market can be expensive, for sure. But once you’ve arrived, we are happy to share you’ll find all sorts of great free options for food, transportation, and entertainment.  The city and our community really do want you to enjoy your time here and come back so read on for more information to take advantage of ways to stretch your market travel budget!

There’s free transportation to and from airports and hotels, around the market district, and just about anywhere else you need to go in High Point. Here’s a look at the variety of free shuttle services that are available.

Airports

The Market provides free shuttle service to and from the three airports serving market: Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT).

Greensboro GSO: Shuttles are available on the hour at American claim area. Hours: 8 am-7 pm Oct. 11-17, no reservation required.

Raleigh RDU and Charlotte CLT: Shuttles run SIX times daily to Market, every two hours beginning at 9 am. Reservations are required. Call 336-887-RIDE. Shuttles leave from Terminal 1 and 2 baggage areas (Raleigh) and Zone C outside the baggage area (Charlotte).

Departing Shuttles

Shuttles return to Charlotte and Raleigh airports from the Transportation Terminal in Downtown High Point six times daily, every two hours beginning at 7 am. Reservations are required. Hotel Shuttles

Hotel shuttles are free to all Market attendees. Check at your hotel for the schedule. Market serves 24 routes to and from area hotels. Hotel shuttles arrive and depart Market at the Transportation Terminal, Oct. 12-17.

Downtown Shuttles

Shuttles operate on a continuous loop in the downtown district. Hours: 7:30 am-8 pm Oct. 12-16, 7:30 am-6 pm Oct. 17. Stops include: — Commerce Avenue at Main Street — Transportation Terminal on Commerce Avenue — 200 N. Hamilton St. — PTI Airport – Lower Level — Commerce Avenue at Elm Street — Russell Avenue & Hamilton Street

Go-Anywhere Shuttles

To reach any destination within a 6-mile radius of the Transportation Terminal that is not served by a scheduled shuttle, including outlying showrooms, use our FREE Go-Anywhere service. Go to the downtown Transportation Terminal or simply flag one down from any location in the Market area. You may also call 336.887.RIDE (7433) to have a shuttle dispatched to you. Hours: 7:30 am-8:30 pm Oct. 12-16, 7:30 am-6 pm Oct. 17.

Free Parking

If you do have a car, there are two free lots. Continuous shuttle service runs to and from the lots to the downtown Transportation Terminal.

— Parking Lot 1 (P1) North: 921 Eastchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262 in the parking lot of Oak Hollow Mall. Hours: 6:30 am-10-pm Oct. 12-16, 6:30 am-6 pm Oct. 17.

— Parking Lot 2 (P2) South: 490 W. Market Center Dr., High Point, NC 27260. Hours: 6:30 am-6 pm Oct. 11-16, 6:30 am-6 pm Oct. 17.

Accessible parking is available at both of our Park & Ride locations. Guests with disabilities may call 336-887-RIDE for an accessible shuttle from the Park & Ride lot to the Transportation Terminal.

Did you forget your umbrella? No worries. All of the Market Information booths have complimentary umbrellas along with free concierge service.

Entertainment

Two nights of free entertainment await buyers!  High Point Market Authority’s Stars Under the Stars event this year includes Jocelyn and Chris Arndt performing on Saturday evening and Sheila E. on Sunday evening.

Doors open for both shows at 7 pm Center Stage, Transportation Terminal.  Valid Buyers Pass is required.
