Best Places to Stay in High Point

First time to High Point market?  Or maybe it’s your fiftieth?

No matter how many times people have been to High Point the number one question I get from friends in the industry is:  “Where should I stay?”

Surprisingly (and contrary to what some believe), you do have options.  The tricky part is they fill up fast, and sometimes even markets in advance (so our advice is to plan – and book – early).

Authors Note:  This post is intended to assist you with future planning of your trips to market.  At the time of this posting (three weeks before Spring market), you should already have your accommodations lined up for this market.  As noted above, hotels and houses fill up fast!

Here is a list of some of our favorite places in and around High Point.

And between you and me, these are some of my favorites.

Pandora’s Manor in High Point

A boutique hotel in a 100+ year old Southern home designed by six prominent interior designers.  Located one block from Market Square Tower (yes friends, that means it is in walking distance to market) this is a truly unique market experience.

Insider Secrets

For those Airbnb fans out there – we have a real treat in store for you!

My designer friend Lisa Sherry of Lisa Sherry Interieurs has an Airbnb home available that will make you remorseful to leave for market every day.  Yes, really.

Nicknamed Casa Noir, this beauty is right in the heart of one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in High Point.  Airbnb Rental – Woodbrook in High Point

And speaking of renting houses, High Point has been doing it long before Airbnb was a thing.  We have friends who travel the world to come to High Point and when they discover renting a house is an option it’s kind of like winning Olympic Gold.

Word to the wise:  if you are coming one or even just a few nights, this option might not be for you.  Home rentals are best for those who are planning to stay a while and typically have minimum nights requirements.

The following is a list of local companies who connect private homes to market renters:

Market Rentals

High Point Market Rentals

Market Home Source

Furniture Market Housing

Our friends over at the High Point Market Authority have created an excellent resource of nearby hotels that offer complimentary shuttle service to the Market.  We can’t stress this enough – BOOK. EARLY.
