August 24, 2018

Okay, who doesn’t love dogs?? Obviously we all do, they are “man’s best friend” after all! August 26th is National Dog Day so let’s pamper our best friends even more than usual to celebrate! Here is our idea of the perfect Dog Lover’s Day in High Point!

Rich Folk Nature Preserve

Dogs need plenty of exercise so let’s start off the day right with a walk through the Rich Folk Nature Preserve! Adjacent to the Hartley Drive YMCA, this 116-acre preserve makes a great place to take your furry friend on a pleasant walk with plenty of sights, sounds, and smells!

Lunch at Penny Path

After a nice Relaxing walk through the nature preserve, take Fido with you to lunch! High Point has plenty of Dog Friendly restaurants where you can eat with your dog! Penny Path is a super fun Crêpe Café down town and has some comfy outdoor seating! Perfect for watching some cars go by while you enjoy a slice of city life!
